  1. Great work Mike. Hey, remember how on the comment when you posted this I said there were still a few games left in the season and who knows what could still be worse? Well how’s last night Frankie blowing a 2 run 9th inning lead — to the Nationals — by walking in one run and then giving up a walk-off grand slam? If we weren’t already 24 and a half back that loss would have hurt pretty badly.

  2. Well, it would have felt much worse if we were in a pennent race, good thing we are out of it

  3. The situation is not as bad as you guys make it: the Mets are only 23 games out of first place at the close of the season, and an entire 11 games ahead of the Nationals!

  4. Wow, wonder why they didn’t pop the champagne that last game after they moved to within 23.

  5. When you are closer to the Nats then the Phillies you know there is something wrong. but I see what you are saying, I did think we were much worse.
